Unlike many, Madhuji’s accomplishments in the art of Hindustani Classical accompaniment stem from years of experience in performing, with the earliest foundation in music laid by his father and elder brother in India. His growing passion for music led him to experiment with many instruments during college such as flute, guitar, accordian, harmonium, and voice. Soon after his days at the University, Madhuji began to focus passionately on the art of harmonium accompaniment. With his knowledge in Hindustani Classical music forever growing with each artist he accompanies, he continues, to this day, to play the harmonium intuitively and by heart. His lifelong learning continues to be influenced by some of the great maestros of the past--both the vocalists as well as the instrumentalists, Khan Saheb Abdul Karim Khan, Ustad Amir Khan, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Ustad Salamat Ali and Nazakat Ali Khan, Ustad Vilayat Khan, Pt. Nikhil Benerjee, Pt. Pannalal Ghosh, Pt. D.V. Paluskar and more.

Over the past 30 years, Madhuji has accompanied many renowned vocalists such as Pandit Jasraj, Pt. Madhav Gudi, Pt. Parameshwar Hegde, Pt. Nagaraj Hawaldar, Pt. Mukesh Desai and Shrimati Lakshmi Shankar, Smt. Kankana Benerjee, Smt. Tripti Mukherjee, Smt. Mitali Bhawmik, Smt. Sanhita Nandi, Smt. Marina Alam Khan, Smt. Savita Devi, to name a few.
